Fall Instructional Season

Sierra Madre Girls Softball Association (SMGSA) is a non-profit organization run by group of dedicated volunteers. Each year we offer a chance for girls aged 5 - 16 to learn softball skills and good sportsmanship in a safe and positive environment. Over 500 girls from Sierra Madre and throughout the San Gabriel Valley come together each Fall and Spring to play fast pitch softball and have fun with friends. 

Our Fall season runs from September through November and is considered to be an instructional season, where our dedicated coaches help develop beginner players and enhance skills for our most talented players. This season serves as an excellent opportunity to familiarize players transitioning to higher age divisions with new rules. See below for division information.

Early Bird Registration (6/30 - 7/21) is $175. Registration after 7/21 will be $200.

2023 Fall Ball Early Bird Registration ENDS July 21, 2023
2023 Fall Selects Tryouts 1 August 10/11/13, 2023
2023 Fall Ball Registration Closes August 14, 2023
Uniform Try-On (4-7pm @ Heasley) August 18, 2023
2023 Fall Practices Begin September 10, 2023
2023 Fall Season Starts September 24, 2023
2023 Fall Season Ends November 12, 2023


If you are registering more than one player in your family, you will receive a $15 discount on the 2nd and subsequent sibling's registration fees.  In order for the registration system to recognize that you are registering multiple players, you MUST register all of your players at this time, YOUNGEST TO OLDEST.  On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your players are registered within the same order.

Diner Fee

SMGSA requires that registrants commit upfront $100 per player for the Diner. A family can recoup their $100 deposit after providing 6 hours of adult volunteering at the diner or the swag table. Board members and managers are exempt.

The diner hours will be Fridays 5 pm-8 pm and Sundays 10 am-6 pm

Signups for volunteering will be made available at a later date.
